The design of the knife dates back to the 19th century and is characterized by its slim lines and the characteristic upper and lower bolsters on the handle. Instead of a nail nick and a slipjoint, the Boker Plus Hidden Release Trapper as an automatic knife utilizes its matt stainless steel bolster to open and release the satin-finished D2 blade by simply sliding it upwards via the discreetly integrated bolster lock (US Design Patent by CobraTec). The industrial-looking design of the bolsters is reflected in the fine, non-slip texture of the hand-flattering handle scales made of black G10.
